Basically it is not possible for humans to visit forests and National park in order to see their favorite animals and birds who they really wanna see once. Moreover its not safe for us to visit such places as anything can happen at any time . So people prefer Zoo over visiting jungles or forests .

Mohendra Chaudhary Zoological Park Chhatbir Zoo is located in Chhat Village , ZIRAKPUR (PUNJAB) INDIA [//]:# (!pinmapple 30.604408 lat 76.792599 long d3scr) .

Zoo is about 25km drive from CHANDIGARH . It lies on the Chandigarh-Patiala Highway , so you can reach at the zoo easily. Due to its reachability it attracts both domestic and foreign tourists to visit the place.

The Zoo was made/constructed in 1970s and now is home to various varieties of bird, animals and reptiles. At the earlier stages of its construction , it was very small and only few animals from Guwahati Zoo(Assam) were brought here. At current time it is one of the biggest Zoo in the country. The name Mohendra Chaudhary Zoological Park Chhatbir Zoo , was given to it after the name of Governor Of PUNJAB of that time.

The Zoo has one of the largest Walk-in-Aviary , spanning over 300m. The aviary showcases more than 30 species of indigenous birds. The Aviary section has been divided into five sections based on terrestrial , wood etc. I personally enjoyed these sections of the Zoo the most. The chirping sounds of various birds are heard and it feels so good to listen .

People of any age category visit the place and enjoy their time here. Children are the ones who has most of fun in the Zoo. the opening time for the Zoo is 9:00 Am and the closing time is 5:00Pm. People mainly come here to do a LION SAFARI . In order to do so you have pay extra money.

The Zoo has separate Dinosaur Park specially made for children. This park tells you about the history of all the dinosaur , about their birth and how they got extinct from earth. The park currently is in construction process . The park has been made in such a way that you can see Dinosaurs moving making sound which attracts children.

None of living organism like to be caged , but by keeping animals and birds inside a cage we are helping them from getting extincted. There are some species who are about to extinct get saved when we keep them in ZOO.

People like us are helping such animals and they care care of them and this shows our love towards them. They are also part of this beautiful world and we should preserve them or save them from getting extinct.

I visited Chhatbir Zoo with my friends last year . It was fun to visit such a place. It was my first time to any particular Zoo. The place was very quiet and all the things regarding different sections were clearly visible.

My other friends like @ankitverma21 @anshul6562 has earlier visited the place , so it was easy for us to fully visit the place and cover all the part as ZOO is spread over 200 acres of land.

So it was a good sunny day to visit a ZOO. We took a cab from Kharar and reached Zoo at 9:30 in the morning. As we entered the Zoo we saw lot of people there. We moved inside and took our entry tickets , showed our Vaccine certificates at the security post.
There was a store near the entry gate , so we took some eatables with us which would help us in day time. We started our visit from the left side of the Zoo . first we went to see the deer and after that we saw hippopotamus and so one.

We were really excited to see jaguars and tiger and i spent most of time staring at them and tried to notice what would be thinking about us looking at them. From there on we moved in further and this time we went to see some snakes . From there we went to Dinosaur park , which was quite a visit.

We all wanted to do the LION SAFARI . As we approached the staff over there to book the tickets for it they tell us that LION SAFARI is not available these days. It was a heart break for us as we really wanted to go for it.

This led us to have our lunch time . We had our lunch in one of canteen over there. The food was good as compared to other places.

After this we went to AVIARY section which was one of the best part of my visit to there. I spent some quality time there listening to the voice of birds. The chirping of birds made me fall in love with them.

Now the time was getting over and we have to move on and see other things also. So we left that place and went to see the whole Zoo by4:30Pm. It was fun In case if you don't wanna walk you can hire a cab inside Zoo which is managed by Zoo association.

Visiting Zoo is always a good thing which teach us many things regarding various species of animals. We get to know about them closely . Visiting such places brings us one step closer to the living beings with whom we share the same earth and environment. They are also part of our eco-system .We get to know about many things like they are also as important as we are in this world and we have to save them from getting extinct as it is our most important priority.

So this is it for this post , I hope you enjoyed the ride
Thank you so much for passing by .❤
