HISTORY ABOUT HATU TEMPLE

  • It is believed by many people who knows about the history that THE TEMPLE was constructed by MANDODARI , who was the wife of KING RAVANA . She used to come here and pray and pay rituals to GODDESS KALLI.
  • HATAU peak is among the places where "The PANDVAS" has stayed for a long period of time during their exile , and we can see the big rocks there which were used by them as a Stove to cook food for themselves.

STRUCTURE & DESIGN

The temple is totally made of WOOD . Instead of modern design and different structure options the TEMPLE is made in ANCIENT INDIAN DESIGN from walls to pillars. The unique ancient design make it unique from other modern temple. The temple design is totally based on INDIAN MYTHOLOGY

HATU PEAK

HATU PEAK is one of the highest peak in the SHIMLA REGION . It is the first and highest motorable peak in the region of SHIMLA. The peak is fully surrounded by dense forest of OAK , DEODAR etc.

Peak is at an elevation of about 3400Mtrs. from sea level.

The HATU PEAK is about 7Km from NARKANDA. The peak gives us the view of GREAT HIMALYAN RANGE , SPECTECULAR MONUTAINS filled with SNOW and DENSE FORESTS .

MY VISIT TO HATU TEMPLE & PEAK

I visited the place back in the summer of 2019 with my friends . It was my first time to visit such place and peak. We all were very excited to go there . One of my friend @parvkhuller who is from MANALI was also coming and @ankitverm21 who is from Shimla had planned the whole trip , So we had to gather at his farm house in THEOG .

(The Whole TRIP constitute of visiting HATU PEAK , CHANSHAL PASS , JUBBAL PALACE , RICHEST VILLAGE OF ASIA )

It was a 5 day adventure plan where we had to do a CAMPING also .So we were total of 7 friends who had a sort of reunion and who were going to HATU PEAK. Next morning we packed our bags and took essentials with us like sleeping bag , food , sleeping mattress etc. HATU PEAK is around 50km(43km till NARKANDA + 7KM from there to TOP) from THEOG .

We started our journey at around 11 in the morning and we reached NARKANDA at about 2:30Pm . It took us a lot of time because we kind of stopped at many places in between.

As we entered the temple premises i was amazed to see the beauty of place . Everything which i have heard and saw in the pictures was in front of me. The design of the temple and art work on the wood was so good that we were unable to take our eyes from that. All the artwork was handmade and none of the work was done with machines. We prayed for a while there and after that started to explore the place.

From the local people and priest we got to know about the rich history of the place . Further we also got to know about a place called "KALA BAGH" which is around 15 minutes walk from temple .

We all then went to see the KALA BAGH and it was worth visiting. Grassland where goats , sheep and horses were eating .

HATU PEAK has a spectacular view of the surrounding area and mountains. We were delighted to visit such place . At 5 in the evening we thought of moving to our next destination which was ROHRU. So we then again visited the temple took blessings from goddess.

HATU PEAK also has a staying accommodation and If anyone wants to stay there and have a good time there and can take part in evening Pooja ceremony. In above picture all the details are available.

Moreover you can visit PEAK & TEMPLE with "ONE DAY TREK" which starts from NARKANDA till HATU PEAK . The trek is through the dense forest with old pathway to walk . If you want to take roadway you can also do so . Usually it is a one day Hike and one can also find snow in the month of MAY/ JUNE there.

It was a great experience to visit such place and learn about the place and culture. So that's all for the this blog. All the photographs have been taken by me and my friends (@parvkhuller @ankitverma21 @anshul6562 rajat @aditiya. The pictures are edited by me on the application ADOBE LIGHTROOM and few are also being shared on different platforms.
I hope you liked the blog ,till then have a great time.

Hi there, looks like you and your friends had a good time.

Your post is very interesting, but your account is giving me some problems which makes me hesitant to curate this post for Pinmapple. Hopefully these pointers will help you to grow your account going forward:

  1. You deleted your first three posts. That always looks bad as it's a sign that you have something to hide, or you will recycle your posts
  2. Many people welcomed you in your first introduction posts, but you did not bother to respond to any of them apart from your two friends.
  3. If you use any images that don't belong to you, make sure you quote the source otherwise you are plagiarising content
  4. Engagement is key on Hive. Don't expect to get much support if you just drop your post here and hope to get rewarded. It doesn't work like that
  5. Sort out your profile picture and header, that is key to make your blog look professional

I have pinned post on my blog about things that a newbie should do. Read that and it should help you if you want to be helped.

Thanks for your help and guidance regarding everything. I will definitely read the instructions. Reason behind deleting the first three was that i wanted a fresh start as i was using HIVE after many months. Moreover could not reply to comments of many people due to less resource credit. Such type of thing will not happen again for sure. All the things will be kept in mind now.
Thank you so much for your help
