in Worldmappin2 months ago (edited)

Tourism is a big source to discover new marvellous of Nature and to invent new places. This Heavenly World has so many places that have History as well as full of mysteries. Our soul needs refreshments in the form of travelling, like our body, which works at its best when there is good food.

"The world is a book, and those who don’t travel read only a page."

~ St. Augustine

To Pursue my dreams of exploring the World, I visited Multan and was amazed to see its most famous point, which has a mysterious history.

Tomb of Shah-Rukna-Alam

Today, I decided to visit the tomb of Shah-Rukn-e-Alam, which is historically popular around the World due to its Tughluq Architecture, the Beauty of the Mausoleum, and Ancient History. It is situated in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. Sheikh Rukn-ud-Din Abul Fateh was a great Muslim Saint in the 13th Century who impressed thousands of inhabitants in Multan with his deeds. He was the grandson of Baha-ud-din Zakariya. Still, thousands of Pilgrims around the World visit his tomb and offer their devotions.

We can visit this tomb in Pakistan easily because it has an Airport for embracing overseas as well as roads to receive national tourists. I moved from Lahore to visit this place. There is about 350 Kilometres distance between Lahore and Multan. After travelling about 2.5 hours through M-Motorway, I stepped into Multan.

Through Public Transport, I moved towards this tomb. I found that the inhabitants of Multan were Cooperative in approach, Hospitable in behaviour and Friendly in attitude. This peaceful city was founded in the 6th Century and I could witness many historical things here.

Finally, I entered into Tomb of Shah-Rukn-e-Alam. Spirituality: I was feeling strong here, and I was praising God after my first glimpse. Hundreds of Pilgrims around me were busy offering their devotions to this Saint.

When I stepped inside the Tomb, I was surprised to see people from different religions. Different people were here to present their offerings to the great Saint. Someone was busy putting feed to the Pigeons and someone was busy in dividing alms. Moreover, people were sleeping on the floor of the tomb. Some people were reciting the Holy Quran. It was totally a different environment for me.

Shah-Rukn-e-Alam's Museum

After refreshing my mind with a spiritual environment, I decided to learn about the Culture, History and Architecture of Multan. I purchased a ticket for Shah-Rukn-e-Alam's Museum, which is situated near the Tomb. There were beautiful Gems to get a virtual visit about the history of this tomb as well as the history of this city. Art, Calligraphy, Architecture and Old Pics touched my heart. I liked the statues made by Mud.

My Best Clicks in Tomb

After spending more than two hours in this tomb, I was much improved in Knowledge. I learned many things from the Pilgrims. This great Saint was indeed a big pious person. I was feeling tired, so I took Lemonade Drink. It was served to me in beautiful cups that I captured.

Final Thoughts

It was the first time I visited a place like this. When I was in Lahore there was a lot of talk about this tomb. Even my favourite Pakistani Drama, "Khuda aur Mohabbat (God & Love)" inspired me to this place. Pakistan is a peaceful country that is the best place for tourism. Moreover, its historical buildings, Mausoleums, and Tombs are popular around the world. After a big pause, I broke the silence about my Tourism Passion. I promised myself to visit this place again in future because now I'm also feeling a pilgrim of Shah-Rukn-e-Alam. I'm happy to share the travel digest of this tomb. If you are a tourist, then you must visit this place to entertain your mind with the history of this oldest city in the World. I hope you will enjoy everything here. Thanks!
