I went to Chichen Itza in February 2020, and I never posted about it because life was hectic at that moment, I was about to leave Mexico to live in Berlin and I was preparing everything, then Covid came around waving at us and ruining our plans, then money issues came and I started to make shorter posts... but now I am here, and even though there's not much material to work cause I could've taken many, many more pictures with a better quality, there is still a post to be made.
I am going to live in Yucatan soon, so expect a better gallery, a more detailed post, and overall a better reading experience for you once I actually get the post I actually want to make.
In the meantime, here's a quick glance to Chichen Itza.
See, that's me right in front of Kukulkan's pyramid, the most famoust pyramid in Mexico and I'm willing to say just second to The great Pyramid of Giza - although most people just know them as the pyramid of Chichen Itza and the pyramids of Egypt - and below, I have what is probably the best dog pic you'll find.
I mean I knew that humans are prone to recharging their energy during the Solstices, but have you eve heard of a energized dog?
I wouldn't be surprised if this dog later on went to cure cancer patients on the local hospital... but in a more serious note, I leave you with a mini gallery - mini according to my own terms, cause my galleries are usually 50+ pics.
This time there is not much text because I am saving all of that for the real post, this is just the teaser and in a few months I'll post the real deal.
If you liked this, wait until I bring my Rebel T5, have enough time, and visit this place with the intention of actually making a post. You'll be blasted.
Honestly, if I had, I would run. Haven't been here, but always wanted to. Thank you for this tiny bit of vicarious traveling in these trying times.
Energized dogs are out of this world, I can already barely handle normal dogs, imagine them on steroids :P
That's a great teaser - my girlfriend loved being at Chichen Itza, but her phone got stolen few weeks after so she lost most of her pictures - I can't wait to see yours whenever you make it!
Oh damn that really sucks, did she lose it in Mexico or when you guys were back home? Was it lost or stolen by pickpocketeers?
Hopefully in January man, I'm going this December so by January I should have a post ready :D
She was actually doing an internship there for around half a year and towards the end she got mugged by a motorcycle-mugger. Lost pretty much everything she had as she was on her way back from work - her cards, her phone, the groceries she did.
Can't wait to see! For us it's most likely at least a while until we'll be able to go - living in Europe, it takes quite a big of planning before we get to go!
incredible the level of detail of Chichen Itza and how it has been preserved over time. I look forward to the full post very soon.
The energy of that place must have been spectacular.
It truly was and I gotta tell you, I wish it wasn't so commercial and popular, the madness and noise on a regular day takes away most of its magic, and when I visited it still had a lot, so imagine how it would be without vendors, noise and crowds...
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
I loved Chichen Itza! So glad you got to go before you leave! I look forward to the real deal!
The real deal coming soon! I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for stopping by!
