Escaping into the middle of nature - Santa Justa Mountain | Portugal

Hello everyone

Here we are, at the beginning of 2021, and besides little has changed from the previous year, it seems that it still managed to get slightly worse.
The resolution for all this problem that affects us on a worldwide scale remains unknown. The most certain thing is that this virus will become endemic and accompany us for the rest of our lives.
This little introduction to inform that we are still in lockdown, the economy is stagnant, schools remain closed, rare exceptions, the vaccination process has started, but in addition to being a very complex and slow process, failures in production capacity and delivery, in the end we are not even sure that the effectiveness of the vaccines is what we all expect.

It´s sad to start this way an article about travel, but it´s this same condition that conditions the ability to go out and go further, to travel to new places, and in the end it´s possible for us to go out only for short walks very close to home.
I can't even imagine the routine of those people who live in confined spaces in the center of big cities, where green spaces are a rarity.
Fortunately i live in a valley surrounded by mountains and in the midst of so much misfortune, i feel lucky.

Unlike those sudden departures to break a daily teleworking routine, this time we took advantage and headed out towards the Santa Justa mountain range here in the small town where i live, and as our daughter accompanied us, we were unable to make big climbs and cut the bush, opting for the walkway already mentioned here, shared and registered, but hey, every day is a new day and nature is in a continuous process of transformation :)

We did not enter by the usual place and decided to enter through a more advanced point of the circuit, with paths designed for walkers, through witch is possible to enjoy a quiet and peaceful walk and see the best what nature has to offer, nature itself.
Although it is not noticeable in the registered photos, because i made a point of avoiding it, on the way we met lots of people who took advantage of a beautiful sunny day to do the same as us, for moments it was too much and in order to avoid some unwanted agglomerations, we even had to make some detours and sometimes even stop and wait for the path to be clear to proceed.
A few meters away we would reach the beginning of Couce road, which i will share in the next post.

Usually in these articles i do not make references to historical or geographical facts, although this land holds stories of a past full of events worthy of reference, but for now we will let the content be punctual, light and peaceful just like the walk :)
Just enjoy the view ;)

That´s all for today

See you soon
Thank you for watching
