Coal Mountain Resort: Cebu's Hidden Gem

Hello mga ka-hive! I hope you're doing fine. For todays blog, I will be sharing to you my unforgettable trip to Argao,Cebu.

This happened during our team building in my previous job way back 2017. The event was held at the Coal Mountain Resort, which was located at the top of Argao's Mountains in Linut-od,Argao,Cebu.

How did we get there? Since in our case we have a private vehicle to go directly to the resort. From Cebu City, we needed to travel for approximately 4 hours from the city going to Argao.

While on our way, me and my friend were thinking about the name of the resort. Since it was our first time in Argao, when we heard the name of the resort, "coal" or "uling" we taught of maybe there were lots of uling in the resort or maybe they sell uling.

The route going to the resort was long and edgy. But don't let that stop you, you'll be rewarded with a peaceful and breathtaking view of the mountains once you get in the resort. I truly believe that these difficult roads, often lead to beautiful destinations.*

When we arrived at the resort, we felt like we had entered a peaceful heaven. A vast shade of trees surrounded the entire area, creating a naturally cool and pleasant atmosphere.
The calm rustling of leaves and the distant symphony of birdsong offered a relaxing background for our getaway. It was evident from the start that this was the ideal place to unwind and recharge away from the city's constant commotion.

We quickly asked one of their staff about the story behind the name of the resort. I forgot her name 😅, she said that this resort was used to be a carabao grazing ground of the Caminero Family and coal has been mined from this place. And that the reason why Caminero Family named the resort to Coal Mountain in honor of the residents of the area who used to be a coal miners.

Indeed, this resort was a safe haven for everyone this will help you forget you problems for a while with its green scenery,and fresh air.

This resort also features a heart shaped swimming pool that makes more interesting. The heart-shaped swimming pool is for the guest adult—to add a romantic scene during the stay .

They have many things to offer like, swimming pool, mini-zoo, karaoke, hiking, mini water falls,and they even have hanging bridge.

During our free time, we make sure to explore the resort.Faisah and I were roaming around and then foun out that they have long hanging bridge that will take you going to their "mini water falls" that has huge pool. It was amazing 😍.

The water from the falls go directly to their pool that is very green. We forgot to ask the tourist guide why it was green 😅.

While walking in their hanging bridge, we were a little bit scared because we were thinking "what if this hanging bridge will fall 😅" but it was just our imagination hahaa. We still managed to smile and take pictures and just enjoy the view. We were really amazed by the beauty of the resort.

It's true enough that you can't go wrong with nature. This truly inspires me with amazement and gratitude. The delicate breeze of leaves, the lovely sound of birdsong--these are nature's symphonies, built with brilliance that defies all expectations.

It's a realm where tranquility and excitement coexist, where challenges and rewards intertwine.

I find myself constantly captivated by the resilience and wonder of the natural world's ability to inspire us human beings. It is a place of endless discovery, where every exploration reveals something new and extraordinary.

Nature is an essential component of who we are, but not just a backdrop to our life.The air that we breathe in, the water we drink, and the inspiration that fuels our creativity.
