Hello, Hive friends!
Halt and breathe! Yes, you are right; you have reached @abbysphere. As I step back four years ago from now, I am reminded of a previous trip of mine to a paradise up on the hills. It was a spontaneous one, as I remember. It was like an unplanned farewell party we had for my cousin before she left for Qatar.
We grabbed any foods we could, and by foods, I meant chips and cola, haha. It was a fun and relaxing day. But wait up! I am not talking about our personal experience there; instead, I will show you around the place so that you can have a taste of the paradise yourself.
Paradise Hills and Mountain Resort | Location
Paradise Hills and Mountain Resort can be found in Buluang, Compostela, Cebu. You can take a motorcycle ride to get there, or you can bring your car if you got one. However, keep in mind that some of the areas are quite challenging with their road bumps and elevated paths. So, if you are not quite confident in your driving skills, I suggest you take a habal-habal ride with someone who is familiar with the place just to be safe. You need not to worry since the trip on the way to the resort won’t be scary at all.
Once you have reached the high ground, you will have a grasp on the scenic view: tall green mountains almost touching the sky as if goddess Gaea is trying to reach her husband Uranus, the god of the sky in Greek mythology. The cool breath of fresh air is a perfect appetizer before you get to savor the beauty of the resort awaiting you up ahead.
Schedules and Fees
The resort offers you budget-friendly fees and amenities that definitely won’t leave holes in your pockets:
Starting off with the entrance fee, which is only 100 pesos for adults and 50 pesos for the kids. Kiddos whose age is three and below can enter the resort for free.
The prices for the tables and cottages vary depending on their size.
Php 300 for a single table with an umbrella and four chairs. This one is the cheapest and is perfect for intimate small group.
Php 500 for the Kubo type, which is ideal if you are bringing your family or close friends.
Php 1,500 for the tent with two tables and ten chairs ideal choice for bigger groups.
Additional fees will be added for an extra table (Php 50) and for an extra chair (Php 10).
One great thing about the resort is that they require no corkage fee; thus, you can freely buy and bring any foods and drinks you want inside.
The resort is open from 8 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 7 PM on weekends!
Time to Explore!
The resort has massive pool areas for both kids and kids at heart (adults). You won’t worry that much about bumping into other guests during your swims, not unless it gets super-duper crowded like during holidays.
In the adult swimming pool, there stands a massive slide that looked quite intimidating for me but would be exciting for those who are born with adventurous souls. With the combination of the colorful man-made structures and of the natural landscape surrounding the place, every corner of the resort offers its guest a perfect spot for taking photos.
Inside the resort, there are various vendors roaming around selling foods for you to munch on while you take a break from swimming. After all, swimming and soaking in the water for quite long makes you hungry, so you will definitely need some food to replenish your used energy. Like these ones, sweet ice popsicles that help you cool down while you are out of the water and, of course, satisfy your sweet cravings. They sell it in different flavors: the iconic chocolate flavor, mango, ube (purple yam/taro), cheese, and many more.
A perfect paradise away from the city and an ideal resort for family gatherings, friend outings, and any occasion. We all deserve to be in such a place once in a while, so leave your worries and take a fun jump in its inviting swimming pools, float on its waters facing the sky, take photos of the beautiful landscapes, and eat yummy meals and desserts.
