The effect of AI on traditional Software Development (coding) can not be overstated. Every Company i'm aware of through ex colleagues and my current Company is hammering the AI 'button' to reduce headcount and improve efficiency. Senior devs now using Claude to write a new class in minutes, or a full standalone Application 'bare bones' in under 60mins is nuts!! I really hope Junior Devs out there or Uni Grads are jumping on the band wagon and getting up to speed, because if not, in the last 12 months the train has effectively already left the station!!

I feel bad about those who're entering the market now... Still, I think using AI as a tool will improve work... But it needs time to know how to control it. Companies forcing AI on their employees would only backfire.
