RE: My First 3D Printing Attempt Was (Almost) a Success

in STEMGeeks4 years ago

Hello @holovision,

I'm new with 3D printing and still learning the comprehensive basics of the Z offset. I believe it's problematic on my Ender 3 V2 as well.

I experience 1st layer blobbing and have to manually reduce flow early in the print, (while actively printing) otherwise it's possible to incur the same scraping and/or pancaking effects that are highly undesirable. (and dangerous to the nozzle)

Currently I've been printing with a 0.8 nozzle @ 0.5 layer height. Also printing in PLA, brands Esun, Tecbears, Vulkankraft and some silky stuff called Veeology that I have yet to try.

Thanks for sharing , I'll give you a follow, I'm new here and have a blog completely dedicated to 3D printing.

I am also following you now. I started a 3D printing community on this platform a while back you'll probably be interested in. Forgot to put that in my post links. There are some other 3D printer nerds you can follow.😄
