PRESENTATION
  • Ever wondered how quantum computers actually work and why it is said that they are more powerful than classical computers?

  • Do you want to know about the most impressive and groundbreaking quantum algorithms that may solve some of the most difficult problems of our times?

  • Are you afraid that quantum computers may potentially destroy our concept of blockchain and breach any cryptosystem?

If you answered "YES" to at least one of those questions, you are in the right place!

In this series of short posts, I will gently introduce you to the knowledge necessary to have a clue about Quantum Information and Computation theories.

Any technology, no matter how primitive, is magic to those who don't understand it.

Science is still kind of magical, in its own way, but I want to point out that we will not discuss about any prodigious device to tune with the frequency of the Universe and clean your chakras, or anything of this kind of things. I am simply not interested into this stuff.

Here, you will find a little of math (just a little, don't be afraid), a pinch of physics, and the more straightforward cool applications of Quantum Mechanics to Information theory.

What's next?

In the next posts we will discuss about the following topics:

  • Part 1: the Qubit
  • Part 2: Entanglement and other odd things
  • Part 3: Quantum Circuits and Gates
  • Part 4: Quantum Teleportation
  • Part 5: Superdense Coding
  • Part 6: Shor's Algorithm
  • Part 7: Grover's Algorithm

After this series (if I will find that the community is interested), I would present you the hardware for Quantum Computing, the quantum computers, and how people around the world is build them: physical phenomena, pro & cons, specific applications, etc.

Stay tuned and see you in the next post! I will introduce you the QUBIT!
