Knowing how to do everything is an all around good thing, the less you rely on others. The more potential you have and more cash you can save.

I can understand that, my fat fingers tend to waste mouse switches in less than a year. My mouse started to not stay clicked in the 8 month mark. So to me, spending $14 on 8 switches is more economical than say $140 for the gaming mice I like. Not to mention the pro of not having to get acclimated to a new mouse's ergonomics when the mouse you like gets retired.
