I heard, but I don't know if it's true, that on old people they have less to "eat" so they progress quite slow and you might even die for natural reasons, instead on young people they often are fast
it depends a lot of many things, for example I have a family friend that died in his 80's of pancreatic cancer and it was very fez ....pancreatic cancer is know to be fast and that's why is difficult to identify a good treatment since anything that kills fast it doesn't have time for the body to react with a treatment, like ebola virus.
