RE: Some considerations about seeds

in STEMGeeks2 years ago

a toilet paper or absorbent paper is placed, the paper is moistened and the seeds are placed on the paper, then covered with another moistened paper, this is done with the intention of stimulating the germination of the seeds maintaining moisture, then it is periodically reviewed to determine according to the amount of germinated seeds if these are viable for sowing.

I remember doing that in elementary school. Didn't remember why that was done. Never really thought about it. It all makes sense now.

Hello @enforcer48, welcome to our agricultural blog, you are absolutely right in the school this germination test is carried out, in my case we carry it out with caraotas seeds, which is an artisanal method that allows us to verify the germinative potential of the seeds we select for sowing.

See you later friend, have a great week.
