aww, this is heartbreaking.. Though, I must say.. This doesn't happen to your family alone, but it's common among Filipinos.. Yes, we must show respect to those older than us, but as an aunt, a mom and someone who belongs to the oldies in my family 😆, it's also important to respect boundaries.. kahit sa mga mas bata pa satin.. and I am not fond of this idea of, "I am older than you, which means I know everything" thing.. It’s like you’re expected to just accept everything, even if it doesn’t make sense to you..
