“Muffin Madness on a Rainy Day: Little Blessings in Unexpected Moments”

in BayaniHive19 days ago

Hello my dear friends! Hello to all hivers in this wonderful community of @bayanihive! How are you all today? I hope everyone is doing okay now. It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. So today, I will share another simple daily life story to you all.

Yesterday, classes were still suspended because of the bad weather, and since non-teaching staff were also told not to report, I had no work as well. With the unexpected free day, I stayed home thinking it would just be a calm, uneventful day. But surprisingly, it turned into a very productive one.

Early in the day, my aunt told my mother that the catering she was supposed to prepare for a school event wouldn’t push through due to the suspension of classes. The issue was that she had already purchased a lot of muffins in advance. She didn’t want them to go to waste, so she suggested that we sell them instead. We agreed right away, picked up the 30 trays, and brought them home.

The moment we arrived, I arranged the muffins neatly and set it up to take photos. I wanted the pictures to look presentable for posting, so I made sure the lighting was good. I uploaded them to my social media accounts and also sent them to some friends who might be interested. I honestly wasn’t expecting anything big to happen, maybe just a few inquiries. But in less than an hour, my phone started buzzing nonstop.

People were messaging continuously, asking for the prices, reserving and ordering multiple trays. It felt like the muffins were selling themselves. I was so surprised because I didn’t expect such a fast response. It seemed like everyone was craving muffins today!

Every single tray was sold out! 30 trays gone in just a short time. We were honestly amazed! My mother kept saying how lucky it was that we decided to sell them instead of letting them expire. We all agreed because the outcome was far better than expected. What we thought would be a simple attempt to avoid waste suddenly became an instant mini business.

We delivered the orders to the buyers, and everyone was so appreciative. Some were happy they didn’t need to go out in the rain because of the free delivery. Others complimented how big, soft, and delicious the muffins were. One customer even told me to message her next time if we ever sell muffins again. Hearing that made me feel proud, like I accidentally unlocked my “small business owner” side.

And that’s it for today’s blog! Thank you for droppin’ by and reading my simple daily life story. I hope to see you on my next one. Have a nice day ahead to all of us!
