Moment
The mind is full
of elephants and mice
scuffling in corridors
the air is dense
with stray spirits and ghosts
swarming for soul
presence of mind
is to take a leave of absence,
revel in necessary luxury
(an idle and perfect moment)
the balletic leap and twist
of a tremulous curtain or thought;
a shifting palette of light,
the lengthening of breath
or the secret thrill
of eavesdropping-
on inner processes
and conversations.
Liberation
and, once you’ve arrived at the perimeters
of personality
that knot of contradictions, idiosyncrasies
called character
through the hall of mirrors
that comfort and distort
the liberation of undifferentiation
awaits the well-ventilated soul
pouring through open pores
what cannot be captured
you, brooding on boulder, shoulder
and impossible slope
yield to crushing truths
relinquish aches and muscles alike
relish the respite, and Return.

I think there are some interesting language choices and near-rhymes here, but I found it hard to find a rhythm that made sense to me so overall I found it a little hard to engage with. I may be reacting to the very short lines, some of the line-break choices seemed puzzling to me.
Thank you, for your candid feedback — everything is not for everyone. As Nietzsche memorably put it:
And you tell me, my friends, that there is no disputing of taste and tasting? But all of life is a dispute over taste and tasting. Taste – that is at the same time weight and scales and weigher; and woe unto all the living that would live without disputes over weight and scales and weighers!

Beautiful.
It’s good to be heard 🙏🏽✨
I think there’s more depth here than we can imagine, but I cannot fathom the true meaning behind your words, but if I had to pin it, I’d say the piece tackles the issue of self identify, and awareness of thought, a higher frame of thinking, a higher frame of existence.
I hope I’m at least close. You see I have this fascination with things, words, people I can not understand. It’s why I find poetry pieces like these thrilling.
No, @mavido, you are not close, brother... You hit the nail on the head! That's exactly the slippery territory that I explore in this poem:
Thank you, for your sensitivity and eloquent appreciation. I admire your interest in what is challenging. I think people who appreciate/create poetry must enjoy mental/emotional puzzles :)
Wishing you a safe and creative weekend 🙏
Thank you, and keep creating.
Very beautiful both poems friend, I liked much more the second one, the image combines very perfectly with both writings, hugs and greetings friend.
