He had me fooled, He was so handsome, kind and cool
Everybody loved him and favored him in school
And luck had mercy
I loved him, He liked me,

His voice was charming and together we drove everywhere
From stores to my house or the city without a care
My parents never saw it
Dad said that He wasn’t worth a spit
He had me fooled, I had no clue really
What He was doing to me

But I got old enough to see
He wasn’t as handsome as I’d known him to be
He stole my heart, my stuff, my time
Enough to be written in rhyme
Nice try boy, but I’m not a tool. Never again will
He have me fooled
