Hey to all so in my first post it was a bit short so here's another. I will still keep my introduction sort & sweet like they say. I'm Lynn de Bruin I'm still a high school student at Cyber School I'm hoping to finish my GED next year I'm very interested in doing social work after school there is so many reasons for me wanting to go into that line of work but let's just say I want to give kids the opportunity to be in a loving & caring family, because I feel everyone needs and deserves to feel safe and loved. It's about almost 2 years that I've been in Cape Town living with my aunts and to be honest I thought a lot what to say about myself before I started typing. I always thought I never deserved to be loved & I sometimes felt that I'm just not enough after my mom because of my past, but I've realized that I was the luckiest person to have had someone like my grandmother that raised me & cared about me like she did & now since I'm in Cape Town I get to rewrite my story, start over I have gotten to laugh more and enjoy every second of every day I've had new experiences now with my aunt and everyone. I have met this side of myself that made me feel like I'm worth more every day. The only sad part of starting over is to leave some of the good people behind , my gran lives 2 hours away from us which makes it hard for us to go visit her as much as we want to but I wanted to tell you how calming and good I feel when I find the right words to me I feels as if I write better I can actually say how I feel sometimes and when the words just flow it's an amazing feeling if it's for a poem /short story .I like music too which makes the feeling of writing something way more interesting. I

Hi! Welcome to Hive and to this community of poets! I'm glad you were able to overcome that feeling of not deserving to be loved and I find it very love-worthy that you want to work on giving children the opportunity to be in a loving and safe family. By the way, I think you have written a very good poem, I like the simple way you use language. At first it can be hard to get rewards on Hive (I hope this is not your case, but it happened to almost all of us at the beginning), but hopefully you will keep posting your poems and we can keep reading you. After all, if our goal was rewards, we wouldn't be writing poetry! Some technical details: whenever you use an image, make sure it has a free license (even for commercial purposes) and link to the source of the original image (and, if they are yours, make it clear in the post). Regarding tags, you are free to use the ones you want, but there are some that are related to poetry and writing and that, I think, it would be beneficial for you to use: creativecoin (a token related to anything creative), scholarandscribe (a literature community with its own token) and pimp (not strictly related to poetry, but that allows you to enter the pimp token draw at the end of the week in this community). And remember that in order to participate in these drawings, you have to make at least two comments on other people's poems, published during the week, for each poem of yours that you publish. I'm sure it's the way to go and over time more people will vote for you and leave comments! In Hive, as in so many other places, it is important to persevere.
Regarding the images, if they are yours, it is enough to say that they are, and if they are from others who offer them with licenses that allow commercial uses, then you have to cite the source. If they don't have a free license, then you can't use them. If you want to see some examples, you can visit some of my posts.
By the way, my name is not PIZZA. When someone puts in a comment things like !PIZZA or !LUV it means that they are giving you a tip on that token, which will appear in your Hive-Engine wallet. This cannot be done with all tokens, only with tip tokens.
