STARS WITH FOGGY EYES

My thoughts have become an amalgamation of all the things he is made of,
I'm not sure when this happened,
But he has somehow marked every inch of my life,
and I was too lost in his maze to notice,

It's virtually imperceptible...,
I don't wake up from this daydream until it's too late,
Because of the way my mind steadily slips from this world's reality to his,
Even then, a part of me wishes I had stayed in bed,

Even when he isn't around, I have these nostalgic feelings.
As if the bittersweetness of it all is too much for the present to bear,
I attempt to stay with it for a while,
To accept what the moment has to offer and not beg for more,
...I have yet to succeed,
