Forgiveness, a not so easy task
That has the power to heal and save one
A deliverer from the shackles of pain and hurt
A saviour from unrest and a guilty conscience
An important aspect of human existence
A decision we must take to get rid of whatever might have hurt us
A not so easy decision but one that must be taken
A healing process that one must be able to go through
To find strength, joy, and peace again
Forgiveness is a journey meant for everyone yet only a few embark on it
A very bumpy journey yet a necessary one that leads to peace and quietness
A bumpy journey that can make or mar us
A journey that yields tremendous results
Forgiveness is not a sign of weakness nor is it something to be ashamed of
Forgiveness is not pretending or feigning ignorance of whatever has happened
Forgiveness is looking past the hurt caused by people and choosing to see the good in them regardless
Forgiveness is prioritizing one’s peace over everything else
Forgiveness is a decision we take for ourselves and not for others
A chance to be free from every emotional baggage that we might have been carrying
A necessity to live a peaceful and fulfilling life.
Let us learn to forgive and choose peace over everything else ❤️

Someone did something very hurtful to me recently, I knew getting upset with her would be of no use, I knew she might never understand how hurt she made me even if I tried to take it up with her, so when I said my prayers the following morning I told God I forgive her, and asked God to forgive her as well, I simply let it all go since I do not know how to change the situation and that brings me so much peace.
Forgiving people even when they don't deserve it is very important. Also, we must learn to forgive ourselves.
