For the past year, I've been compelled to unshackle from a feeling that I knew wouldn't lead me anywhere. To get free of it, I've begun writing about how I feel on the inside. So I have to set this free to let go. So openly.
You were the best memory of my teenage years,
Through ups and downs or whatever I get.
I rely on you even if you're busy with someone else,
My faith in you continues though we part ways.
Years have passed from teenage memory to adulting,
Different likes but still missing the bonding.
Committed to someone else but always want to know how you doing,
Deep down inside of me wishes you the happiness of what your life is having.
This love from afar still keeps on growing,
Setting boundaries for this is what I am working.
Fate didn't give us the chance we've been hoping,
Grateful however for the love I have given.
I thank God for the chance of meeting you,
Unexpectedly the story of us had a limited timeframe.
May you be happy with the life you are choosing,
I will be here, a friend who loves you no matter what happens.🤍
