One of the strangest wills that history has witnessed to date was the will of the Portuguese businessman Luis Carlos da Camara...
Luis was one of the wealthiest people in Portugal from the bourgeoisie class in the country. He spent most of his life passionate about motorcycles and hunting, but when he grew old and reached old age, he did not have any heir to this huge wealth.
So he bought a Portuguese phone directory book for the city of Lisbon, chose 70 random names from the phone book, and put their names in his will, with the condition that after his death his wealth would be divided among these 70 people. Indeed, after his death, Luis Carlos’s lawyers began communicating with people and informing them about their share in the rich man’s inheritance.
