A Day full of Complacency and

in Freewriters2 years ago

The wedding day was very glaring and dazzling as if both the sun and the weather wanted to say, 'Go girl!! Enjoy your day and we will shower you with every bit of sunbeams and pleasant wind'.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of gossiping and spending time with people, you know in every Indian wedding hundreds of people bless the bride and groom with both their presence and bless, not because they seem boring to me but because the presence of human beings makes me feel choked so as always I chose solitude and peace of mind over any marrige function though there were literally a dozen of things to enjoy and do because in India we celebrate a single marriage for almost 6-7days.
I know it is little bit lengthy but one cannot deny the fact that it is full of enjoyment and rapture as an Indian marriage ceremony has a lot of steps such as Engagement ceremony, mehendi ceremony, haldi ceremony, roka ceremony, bidai ceremony and what not.
We, mostly all people not only Indian believe marriage is the most auspicious occasion that happens in a person's life for just once and it is not only the union of two bodies but also two souls that comes from two different backgrounds, culture and society so that is why there is a tendency to make a marriage ceremony remarkable and memorable.

At first I did not want to attend even though all my family members were going at the venue with a lots of excitement and enthusiasm BUT BUT BUT I had to because there was no option left for me.
I have to admit it was not as boring as I thought, the marrige was filled with giggles and merriment.
I was so lost in the stream of happiness and chaos, I totally forgot to save all the memories in my phone.

This is the photo I took from mehendi ceremony.
Let me tell you, in this ceremony bride and sometimes groom have to apply henna or mehendi in their respective hand.
Mehendi is like a temporary tatto that everyone can taste even the guests, family members.

I was in the bride team so instead of wasting and enjoying all the time, I too took part in the ceremony and decorated the bride's room.
It was really an amazing, beautiful and worthy experience for me that I enjoyed from the bottom of my heart.
It was not the first marriage ceremony that I attended still the joyous environment awed me with it's charm and pleasantness.

I admit it was really great but after spending a whole week full of hustle and bustle I was in need of solitude and peace, 'Nature and my very own favourite 'Biryani' were the only thing that could give me what I wanted that time, without thinking twice I made myself flow in the river of sanity.

That's all for today.
