November 2nd: voting day.
I took advantage of the busy day to exercise my freedom to cast my selections for local representatives. One of the candidates, an encumbent running for the school board, stood outside of the polls and greeted us in the damp, cool weather. I ended up voting for him. Jeff still votes in his old district while his house is in the town close by. Sometimes being the only one representing your office at the polls works in your favor. Numerous local positions on the ballot had no candidates running. I wrote my husband in to the one he has said he'd like to hold. Wouldn't that be a kicker if he was called and advised he is now the county vote auditor? Stranger things could happen.
In between calls at work today, I watched Louder With Crowder on YouTube. He has a conservative talk show on YouTube, and mirrors it on the application Rumble. He's been demonitized on YouTube and suspended many times for violating their terms of service. His show just was allowed to air this week after his last censorship. YouTube has become militaristic on censorship for anything that the owners disagree with; ie. anything which goes against the current leftist political narrative.
The Louder With Crowder special today was live coverage commentary of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. This young man was involved in the Kenosha riots and is on trial for murder. The prosecution wants to bury him as a murder who came to the town looking for trouble. The defense is presenting evidence that shows him as a young man who came to help defend a business of a friend and to provide medical aid during the riots which broke out due to a very volatile time in Kenosha over a man who was killed by police.
Rittenhouse looked so young as he sat listening to the prosecution and the defense disect his actions in an attempt to sway the jury in their direction. He yawned frequently; probably having issues sleeping up to the big trial.
The clock moves forward and now it's 8:19 p.m. I watch the news coverage for the Virginia race for governor. The race is currently Younkin (R) 55.6% Mcauliffe (D) 43.8. My husband speculates that the election will magically change names by morning. Like so many Americans, we lack real faith in the integrity of the American election process.
May the best men and women win in these elections and may we preserve the integrity, rights, and freedoms of local, state and federal governments.

That would be something if your husband gets elected, I hope he would be truly happy with it.
I believe he would enjoy it. He's very involved in the local concerns here. If it is, I'm sure he will do it with his heart for people.
What became the fate of the rioter in Kenosha? From the write up, i think he was fighting for a just course.
As of the writing, his trial is not over yet.

I can understand and I agree that the powers who have taken over are not following the constitution, nor do they have the will of the people as their concern. Everything America stands for has become unrecognizable from when I was a child. I pray we can overthrow this tyrannical reign. I am not sure why I bothered to vote in the light of not trusting the integrity of the vote since this current administration took over. I fear for my kids and my grandchildren.
Oh god... its only the current administration that took over which gave you concern as to the efficacy of the ballot box? I feel sorry for you.
I was busy with life and didn't follow news as much as I have in the past 7-8 years.
And now your spending your life listening to people like Steven Crowder.. Im going to shoot a random guess out and say that you probably voted for Trump also.
I wish people like Crowder were on hive though, so people would have a good reason to use the downvote button, rather than youtube acting on others behalf.
Crowder was talking about day 1 of the Kyle Rottenhouse trial, soo yeah I'd assume people like you would or have already made up your minds about this teenager who gave the government more reason to implement stricter gun laws.. cos obviously the current ones aren't working if Rottenhouse can is doing strawman purchases.
I worship God, not government figures. I spend my life seeking to serve God. I also seek Him for wisdom and guidance in all that I attempt or do. I'm just a sinner saved by the grace and mercy of God. I support/uphold the constitution of the United States and the freedoms it represents, which were purchased by the blood of our forefathers. I believe in justice and I hope that a jury of his peers will uphold his right to a fair trial and that these same people will rule based on factual evidence presented during the trial. I wasn't there and neither were you? Any verdict I would make would be lacking actual evidence.
The wonderful thing to me is I have the freedom to believe as I choose and at days end I can sleep peacefully.

I do sleep peacefully at night also, but I do worry about the state of our world, when the government figures who worship the same god as you, and practice the same religion, are destroying the world.. what a great god you have to worship :)
