Lemon Flavoured

in Freewriters3 months ago

It's hard to relax and find time for me. It might sound odd if you know what I do the entire day, day and night. In a way my lifestyle improved my life and the fact that I am no longer forced to wake up early which is not true since no matter how late I go to bed (early in the morning) my son will always wake me up for a chat. Yesterday he asked if I would come along to the market, my answer was perhaps and it depends on if I am still awake, how I feel...but around 4 am I had to sleep and my son stood in front of my bed. We had a chat about what to buy (he did) and next we talked about fruits, citrus, and if there are any other types of fruits tasting refreshing (nope) and as I mentioned pineapple he said Yuck I have had enough for my entire life.
Off my son went and I stayed in bed. He only called about 4 times to ask what to buy and he found an interesting thing that attracted his attention in those boxes with secondhand stuff.
Back home he didn't bring any lemon although I told him how I peeled it and ate it as a child. I always liked the taste already as a child just like grapefruit. The lemons sold here have changed and they do not look very attractive and I don't think it's possible to easily peel them. For now the

the juicer will be unused in the cupboard for another year just like the previous years. I now have a plastic lemon with lemon juice of some lemon-flavoured water in it. Is it real? Probably not, the word alone says enough. It is something chemical with the idea that it is lemon just like vanilla sugar that is made from the waste of the paper industry. You think it is vanilla but is it?

I did not know this about vanilla, yuk. None of the fruits that we buy over here have the flavor they used to have. They pick them while still green they look ripe but since they were picked too early they are not sweet.
I grow pineapples and still love to eat them, I would not like to eat the ones from the store, they are also picked too early.
