If you have nothing to do watch Hope (2020) a short film. They are popular and I doubt I am the first to write about it. I read in short what Hope is about and I wish I didn't. It's better to watch yourself and decide if this is an ordinary story about survival of the fittest of if there's a message behind it. If it comes to the (hidden) message I am sure there is since for at least 50 years "we" are trained, brainwashed, to take care of our trash and punished if we don't or have too much waste (we as in the ordinary man).
Would I recommend to watch this? Not per se. It's not a coalition of hope, I don't even know why the turtle has that name. It's normal for turtles to crawl out of an egg and find their way into the sea. Some die, others survive. Trash or no trash all living beings (plants included) have enemies and it's not meant to be we all survive (have a look at the spiders or frogs, more offspring die than survive).
Is it hopeful one turtle makes it into the sea? I can't see it. It's just nature with a bit of luck, and instinct, no direct thinking or calculated behaviour. The average animation could improve and be used to teach children (and adults) in a relaxed way. That is if the nature of an animal would be shown and not made-up fantasies like in this one or in Ants where the story is far beyond the truth. Is it really that hard to teach children about nature, animal life?

Humans need to clean up after themselves. They should make films that show the hard truth about nature, it is not always pretty.
