On her wedding day, Mara was abandoned at the Altar by her groom, Jake. She was heartbroken and in despair and upon hearing that Jake had absconded with Rolie, her bridesmaid and her best friend, she simply lost it. She felt betrayed and in despondency, she wandered into the dark forest to find solace. Her solace was to end it all.. Ultimately she met her end as she hung beneath the distorted tree branches. Yet, even in death, she was not at rest. Dressed in her ruined bridal gown, Mara came back as the ghost of the bride, her white skin shining in the night sky. Each year on the anniversary of her wedding, she comes out of the dirt holding a bunch of spoilt flowers. She returns at night looking for her husband who had also met his untimely death, with his new bride, a few months after their marriage.
