RE: Pool of hurts

hello @yinks

Welcome to The Ink Well!

Your story is edgy and dark. It has an interesting quality to it but needs some editing to correct grammar and punctuation, including the use of quotation marks to enclose dialogue. This will improve the flow of your writing. You will find a lot of useful advice and guidance in The Ink Well articles and within the community as a whole.

Please could you correct the image sourcing on your images obtained from Canva. If you found them in the Canva library you can get a link for them by clicking on the three dots in the right-hand side of the image. If you created them in Canva using other images, you need to provide links to the images that you used in your composite. In both situations you need to give credit to the photographer by sharing the URL to the page on which the photo and photographer's name appears to ensure accreditation is correctly provided.

Now that you're here, please have a look around and get to know our community. Here are a few tips for getting acquainted:

Be sure to read The Ink Well community rules at the top of the community home page, and check out our FAQ about The Ink Well.

We accept two kinds of short stories in The Ink Well: fictional stories and creative nonfiction stories.

You can find some great articles on fiction story writing in our catalog of fiction writing tips.

You can find information about what we are looking for in creative nonfiction stories in this post.

And please be sure to engage in the community by reading and commenting on the work of other community members. We ask everyone who post in The Ink Well to read and comment on at least two other stories for each one published.

We look forward to reading more stories from you in the future.

Again, welcome!
