Describe what you see?
A very proud and happy coffee farmer showing me his first coffee harvest of the day.
Describe what you feel?
I feel happy for the man. He is proud of what he has achieved and I want to share in his happiness and have caught his infectious smile.
Write a story or poem about what you think is going on?
"Hey Eddie!" Ernesto called out.
"Hey Ernesto, how are doing?" I answered back.
"Do you know what day it is today, I bet you have forgotten already. I reminded you that you must come back in a exactly one year. Do you remember now?"
"Oh no way, it has been a year already!"I answered Ernesto.
If truth be told I had completely forgotten my promise that I made to Ernesto last year when I was on a sight seeing trip prior to buying my getaway home on his coffee farm.
We had made a promise. I would return and buy his entire crop of coffee cherries at 10% higher than the market value, in return for him providing some labour to help finish my house.
Ernesto had kept his end of our deal, and the house was built in record time and before the rains hit this part of the Amazon.

"Look Eddie, look at my cherries, aren't they beautiful?"
"They look awesome man, such a vibrant cherry colour and they look plump too Ernesto!"
"Of course they are Eddie, and do you know what that is?"
"Ehm no Ernesto, but I am sure that you are going to enlighten me?"
"Well of course my friend, it is LOVE, love is my secret ingredient!"
I burst out into fits of laughter. "Love, of course, you grow your coffee like I cook my food, it is all about love the secret ingredient!"
"You know something else Ernesto?"
"No Eddie, what is it?"
"You Ernesto, you look younger every time that I see you, what is your secret, don't tell me you are in love?"
"Haha Eddie, of course I am in love, I am in love with my coffee of course, can't you tell"
Now it was the turn of Ernesto to burst into laughter.
"And these my dear friend Eddie, are the fruits of my labour!" beamed an ecstatic Ernesto.
Ernesto and I looked at each other and then spontaneously hugged. We might come from totally different worlds and communicate through a translator, but as Jackie Chan said Coffee is a language in itself!

This was quite a read. I enjoyed it though because you made it kind of funny. I never knew coffee makes someone younger though.. 😂..
I like the fact that you guys came from different world, it doesn't stop you from hugging and making him your friend.

In the morning I was without internet, no electricity, and intermittent mobile data. But now in the afternoon, everything seems to be back to "normal". At least I managed to post here. Let's see if I can write something for Read.
I just saw Elaine's post, that was awesome Eli, oh well you beat me today. I posted in read this morning, now it is the turn of hive, and so glad it is all back to normal😁
Thank you, Ed! But I don't beat you, and I don't want to. ;) In fact, without knowing it you rather encourage and inspire me to try and write stories like that. If someone had told me a year ago that I would write a faction or a fiction I would have laughed at its face. You are the master :)
That is awesome though Eli. It is fun to push ourselves. We encourage each other without realising it. You will flourish at fiction and faction I just know it 😁
