My Disability- ADHD and Learning Disorders

Looking at me, you would never know my disability. I can speak and write and I am a supervisor at work.

My disability is something I have struggled with since I was a child. I couldn't read until I was seven years old, and I had a stigmatism so bad I couldn't determine where a teacher was pointing on my book.

ADHD makes me impulsive and a bad procrastinator. I get muddled, and the clip art on this page is a good representative of how my mind feels. I get upset and make a fool out of myself, and need to control my mouth. I have a tendency to be outspoken and inappropriate at times due to my impulsive nature.

It has been a struggle, but I made it. My Mother helped me to succeed with alot of nurturing. I was susceptible to bullies and fell in with the wrong crowd in highschool. Over time, I became a better scheduler and made it a point to focus my mind. I never took medication despite being diagnosed as ADHD and Learning disorders. It has been a daily struggle, but it's worth the strife. It has made me a more resilient person overall.
