BENJAMIN GOODY : A FREEWRITE

There was a boy called Benjamin Goody
Whose favorite food was a bits of string!
Yam and stew or beans on toast
Was food that Ben hated most.
His parents watched him everyday
And always put the string away.
But Ben was a naughty boy
And when he found it, oh, what joy!
He ate the string till he was full
He didn't seem to care at all.
One day he swallowed some which tied
Itself in knots inside.
A doctor of the greatest fame
Was called at once and when he came
Poor Ben had to stay in bed.
He is very ill, the doctor said
He reported as he took his fees,
There is no cure for this disease,
And Ben will soon be dead.
His family stood around his bed
Sad to think of Ben's death.
Benjamin took one final breath.
'Oh dear, he said, be warned by me.
Eat your breakfast 🥞 🍳, lunch and 🍵
Don't try eating anything
Like buttons, plastic bags or string.
Oh,poor Benjamin Goody
