I found an infographic on x that details how to create a neat, tidy house and to keep it that way year round. I was really impressed by how helpful it was for me that I had to write about it. Have you ever seen a cleaner's chart that has all of the cleaners and chores divided into daily, weekly, monthly?

For daily cleaning, you have the basics, pick up after yourself, do your dishes, wipe down counters, sweep your floors, it shouldn't be intense work. Some make the mistake of spending too much time cleaning things that don't need to be cleaned on a daily. Of course some are very attentive to cleanliness but unless it's a job that pays you, I wouldn't advice over cleaning everyday. It'll take your time and time is life so you wouldn't want to use a majority of your life to clean your own house. I always try to keep up with my daily cleaning, but let's face it, sometimes I am overwhelmed by the laundry cycle. I remember one time I ignored the sink for two days and ended up with fruit flies all over the sink. Not just that, he saw cockroach and I asked myself how long does it even take for them to reproduce.

When it comes to weekly cleaning, dust off all of your furniture, mop your floor, change your sheets and scrub your bathroom area. I find it really helpful to also note that when it's time to clear out the refrigerator, you don't want to find any expired yogurts hiding in the back.
Monthly cleaning includes cleaning your cabinets, putting away your trash cans and wiping your switches. I usually forget these items, but they are a big part of creating that new feeling in your home after cleaning.
When it comes to seasonal cleaning, it looks a little deeper than just the refrigerator. Seasonal cleaning should include window washing, vent cleaning and closet organizing. Getting rid of old clothes can be quite therapeutic, but of course you need money to get news. But you'd be surprised how many clothes you have you'll never wear, you just think throwing them away is bad.
Also, do not forget about annual cleaning of carpets and walls, as well as the dishwasher. Your vents need to be dusted every year?
For me and any other busy person, this cleaning schedule is a true life saver. I have printed it and put it on my refrigerator to see it everyday and know what I'm doing. I've created an Alarm schedule with it too, in case I forget anything.
