A picture is worth a thousand words- An indoor snowy holiday

And I sat by the window watching it drop bit by bit, endless drops I mean. I have been in this position for almost 6 hours now wondering if it will ever stop. Mom kept monitoring my movements to make sure I didn't step outside, the long heavy pyjamas I wore wasn't of help either.

Mom said I couldn't step outside because of the snowflakes which seems never to end, she had cautioned me that it was hazardous to my health as I could freeze turning to a statue, of course I feared for my life.

But how long was my one month holiday gonna be, I've spent three weeks and 2 days indoors already in Mexico, my dream land. Just five days left and I'll back home, I never thought of a holiday such as this, no tours, no sightseeing, no building of sand castle near the sea. Nothing eventful to tell my playmates when I return.

But I've got something to tell them anyways, that I turned a watchdog staring at the snowflakes from the window throughout my stay in Mexico. Weird isn't it?

Hey @freewritehouse, this appears to be my entry for the week's contest

Oh, to be locked away for so long indoors. I think my mind would start to wonder and imagine things.

Nice story 😀👍

You are a very good writer with great style and wonderful choice of words

A month's vacation and to spend twenty-three days of it indoors just looking out at the possibilities. How agonizing. I can understand, though. Better safe than sorry to get really sick. Children don't see the consequences, just the missing out on fun.

Thanks for sharing.

You got that right

Child do not care....

Hahaha, it turned into a watchdog, sounds funny.

The holiday will soon be over let him keep hanging in there. Hehe

It's quite an ugly experience going for a holiday during the snow time, just bear it, and plan another one next time when the weather is good @pearlie123 .

I could imagine how the feeling was turning into a watchdog instead of enjoying your holidays 😁, nice entry though. Thanks for sharing

Snow in Mexico is something to tell about. Sounds as if mother has never been outside herself. Snow, playing in the snow doesn't kill anyone.
What a sad vacation.
