When the appointment letter was given to my colleague, the appointment letter was not coloured, it was just like a photo copy of the original. You could only know the original copy when you look carefully at the stamp.
So during one screen, my colleague mistakenly submitted the original copy, thinking it was a photocopy, not knowing it was the original. After some months, need for the original arises and she could not find it. She reported to the employer through her direct boss. It took her some weeks and spending to retrieve back the original copy of her appointment latter again, and she immediately laminated it.
I think every employer should make every appointment letter coloured.
