A young girl named Ashley was walking home from school one day when she saw something strange in the sky. A rainbow had formed, but it was unlike any rainbow she had ever seen before. The colours were brighter and more vivid than she had ever imagined. She followed the rainbow to its end, and there she found a pot of gold! As she reached for the gold, a little leprechaun popped out of the pot and said, "Oi, what do you think you're doing?"
"I'm just looking for a bit of gold," Ashley said, holding her hands up in surrender. "Sorry to bother you, Mr. Leprechaun!" But the leprechaun seemed intrigued by Ashley. "How did you even find me?" he asked. "Most folks can't even see my rainbows, let alone follow them to the end." Ashley explained that she had always been able to see things that others couldn't. The leprechaun was impressed. "You must have the second sight!" he exclaimed. "That's a rare gift indeed!"The leprechaun told Ashley that he was willing to share his gold with her, but on one condition. She would have to help him solve a riddle. "What can't you hold for very long, but can last forever?" he asked. Ashley thought hard, but she couldn't come up with an answer. Just when she was about to give up, she noticed a flower growing nearby. "A memory," she said with confidence. The leprechaun smiled and nodded, and the flower turned into a pile of gold coins. "You're a smart one!" he said. Ashley thanked the leprechaun and headed home with her newfound riches. As she walked, she thought about how lucky she was to have the gift of the second sight. It had led her to a pot of gold, but more importantly, it had helped her understand the true value of things like memories and friendship. And that was worth more than any amount of gold.
