double-pointed
This is my post for #freewriters Wednesday prompt hosted by @mariannewest
Sometimes my husband is a lot too frugal. The valve stem was leaking in one of his boat trailer tires, so instead of paying a place to take the tire off of the rim, he has to do it hisself. He lays a board on the tire, one end on the ground and the other where the tire meets the rim. You would not want to use a double-pointed board for this. Then he has me drive his truck up the board, I stop when I hear a pop. Next, he beats it with a hammer and cusses it. He has me back up and he spins the tire and puts the board back in place and I drive back up it.
He takes a little crowbar and beats it some more, still cussing. We do this until it finally breaks loose.
He took his knife and cut the old valve stem off and put the new one in and aired the tire back up.
For all of the aggravation he went through, I would have paid someone the 10 dollars and let them do it.....
I went back to the neurologist today, she is thinking that I might have subclavian steal syndrome, this is what I found out about it. "The subclavian steal syndrome is characterized by subclavian artery stenosis located proximal to the origin of the vertebral artery. In this case, the subclavian artery steals reverse-flow blood from the vertebrobasilar artery circulation to supply the arm during exertion, resulting in vertebrobasilar insufficiency." If you can understand any of what that means, you are ahead of me. Now I have to go to an Interventional neurologist.
Before I left the house, I took my blood pressure, left arm was 87/62 right arm was 118/62. I told the doctor this and her reply was that I was dehydrated, I told her that I was not and my pressure has been doing this, it is all over the place, high one time low the next. The doctor took it and my left arm was 138/82 and my right arm was 158/82. Now I think she believes me when I say I am not dehydrated. She took it twice and had the same readings.
She told me that in the notes from the Neuro Surgeon he wrote that I was a mystery.
All picture are mine
I have no idea what that term means, I hope you get better from ...
