The wind is supposed to die out by morning, so we got our ice for tomorrow. My sister has carpal tunnel that hurts her most of the time, and she still insists on doing most of the work.
I really couldn't have a more perfect person to fish with me. Even when I am on her case, she doesn't like it, but she understands why I do it. I told her I will continue to yell at her until she does things the right way. I told her that I can take a regular hook out of her with a piece of string, but I do not think it will work with the circle hooks we use.
The one thing that I tell her to do each time is when she puts a fish in the boat, to tighten the line before grabbing the line to unhook it. Then hold the line just above the bottom hook, this way, the top hook can not get to you. She leaves it loose each time, and I have seen the top hook come very close to her face, so I yell at her to tighten the line.
We weighed our fish from yesterday, my sisters big pompano weighed 4.1 pounds, my husband had a big one that weighed 4.0 pounds. My sister was happy that hers was bigger, I guess one ounce matters. But he beat us on pounds of fish, he had 16 pounds and we had 13.
