If I had Just one more moment
One more, that is all I need
One more time to hear them say
I love you.
One more hug,
one more
bit of advice that
I did not want to hear,
One more time
to have them near
one more anything.
just one more moment
They were always supposed to be here
to hold me when I was sad
to have someone to talk to
when I was mad
To get a hug
to make me feel loved
To sit with, without words
being said. or just to
rub my head.
just one more moment
As I grew, I never
saw them as old
They will always be here
that is what I am told
Now I wish for
just one more moment
One more time to tell them
I love you
to give them one more hug,
to have that one more talk,
to visit more or pick up the phone
to say to them it's a date.
Now it is too late, if I had
just one more moment
