Have you ever thought about how some people have an outlet for creativity and some do have not a lick of creativity? Are we born with a gift or is it something that is taught?
I think some people are born with a gift, one of my grandsons had an interest in dinosaurs when he was very young, I did not think much about it because he was a boy and liked dino toys. But when he turned 3 or 4 years old and could tell you the name, and pronounce it correctly, of each dinosaur, I thought there was something special about him. He is now in college, I thought he would study dinosaurs but he is studying to be an archaeologist.
Then there are people like me who can look at a bunch of random objects and see what can be made from them. This has always been a dream of mine to do this. But now with my hand hurting all the time, I do not think I would be able to do it. But it would be so much fun putting things like this together. Every time I see a ceiling fan that someone threw away at the dump, I do not see a ceiling fan, I see brightly colored flower petals. When I see old metal fan blades I see a weather vane made with it.

Recycling discarded objects is something many people are experts on it. I saw some people collecting discarded objects from the dustbin. I don't know exactly how they are using those but they must be doing something usable out of those old things.
I also think some children are gifted with something from birth. Not all are blessed with such blessings

When I see old discarded items, I always see things I could make from them, maybe the people you see are seeing the same things.
Yes, I agree with being gifted from birth, I have seen very young children playing musical instruments like some pros.
Due to my experience as a librarian, I'm pretty convinced most boys choose either dinosaurs or motorcycles as an obsession around age 4. Girls usually go for either horses or puppies.
