In general I imagine it's pretty valuable, although for me personally most of my bang is in the thumbnail.

I imagine you're right! And you do have some beautiful thumbnails :D Still, you have the choice to have a thumbnail with bang and a headline with bang, or just a thumb :) Food for thought I'd say, and whatever you choose, I wish you lots of joy and success!
