The village's culture amazed Agnes. She heard a lot of fairy tales about that place, from fairies to talking boots! She couldn't believe as a doctor these things could potentially be real. The town's people believed a lot of fairy tales to be real.

She was new in town and was trying to get used to everything. There were a lot of shops selling things made from leather. Among them, leather boots were so popular.

She bought a new pair of leather boots from the village's shop. Her boots sounded so astonishing to her. She felt a self-assurance never felt before. Not only that, but she also bought other things like clothes appropriate for running. There was a forest nearby her house, and she decided to do her habitual running there.

One morning, she was running when she felt she got lost. She found a leather boot with blood stains laying on the ground. She looked around her to see if anyone is there because in her mind she pictured touching the leather boot, and she wanted to know if anyone is around watching her.

She knew she shouldn't touch the boot, but she couldn't resist when it came to leather boots, even if it was stained with blood.

Suddenly, the bloody boot began to speak, “Excuse me, my owner has been injured, a wild animal attacked her! She is not far from here! Can you find her? Please! Please!”

Agnes was surprised and in awe because she heard a boot talk!

“I'll help you find her, can you tell me what way she went?” Agnes said.

“That way!” the boot said.

Agnes walked until she heard a murmur of conversation. They were a group of hikers and nature walkers, and they were looking for Karina, a friend of theirs, who was lost.

Agnes joined them, and together they found Karina, but the only person who could hear the boot was Agnes. She never told them how she was able to know Karina's location.

Agnes and Karina became best friends, and Karina told Agnes a lot about the village's amazing tales, which sounded fictional.
