When I leave this world

When I leave this world
What I've lived I'll take with me,
When deep sleep comes,
Then forever I'll sleep.
I'll take with me to the cold grave,
The joy of enjoying life,
With sadness, laughter and merriment,
Gradually healing the wounds.
I'll be happy to have done my duty
To have danced in the breeze,
To live in the fullness of being a woman
And to have enjoyed life without haste.
I'll take love's greatness with me,
Along with it I'll take a few I love yous,
I'll go away laughing at poverty,
On this train! like a good traveller.
I'll take with me the memories divine,
Of the beautiful moments with you,
The taste of those rich wines,
And the taste of your lips that will be my punishment.
I will walk that path without reproach,
Leaving the evidence in my verses,
I will enjoy the dark night,
As I enjoy the universe in life.
