Sapphire feels exhausted ,his owner, a rather hyperactive boy, treats him like a dog. It seems that's what he wanted, but his parents gave him what they thought was better: a pony.
Zafiro se siente agotado. Su dueño, un niño bastante hiperactivo, lo trata como a un perro. Parece que eso era lo que quería, pero sus padres le dieron lo que creían mejor : Un pony.
The pony has only been in the house for a month and feels like he can't take it anymore. The child throws a toy and tells him to run and bring it back, but he has a lot of difficulty doing this over and over again. It seems like the child is taking it out on Zafiro for not receiving what he wanted (a dog).
El pony solo lleva un mes en casa y siente que ya no aguanta más. El niño le tira un juguete y le dice que corra a traerlo, pero le cuesta mucho hacerlo una y otra vez. Parece que el niño se está desquitando con Zafiro por no haber recibido lo que quería (un perro).
One day the pony doesn't get up anymore , it seems to be sick. The boy's mother approaches, looks at it closely, and sees that it's fine, just very tired. So she calls her son and tells him to take better care of it. The boy replies, You choose the pony and I want a dog
Un día, el pony ya no se levanta; parece estar enfermo. La madre del niño se acerca, lo observa detenidamente y ve que está bien, solo muy cansado. Así que llama a su hijo y le dice que lo cuide mejor. El niño responde: «Tú eliges el pony y yo quiero un perro».
The mother realizes that the boy isn't mistreating the pony, he's just treating it like a dog, so she decides to send it to a shelter and buys her son a dog.
La madre se da cuenta de que el niño no maltrata al pony, sino que lo trata como a un perro, así que decide enviarlo a un albergue y le compra un perro a su hijo.
