What if Nature has a conscience
What if Nature has a heart
We all seem to replace it
With things that wouldn’t last
We burn down a forest
And call it free land
We hunt down the animals
And call them “big catch”
We build many industries
That drain the life from it
What if Nature was just watching
Waiting for the right time to respond
Or maybe it has responded already
The droughts, The diseases
Flood and Famine
Hurricanes and Tsunamis
The sicknesses and pandemics
What if Nature is at war with us
And we don’t even realize
We are clearly at a disadvantage
For it’s not a fair fight
We’ve bitten more than we can chew
Now we sit back and watch
As Nature begins its quest for REVENGE
Great poem! I actually have debated this with my cousin. Nature is giving us war, we have done too much damage to the world that now we're paying the consequences.
Tbh I don’t even think we can stop paying the consequences ..... it has suffered for too long
