This week's ZAPFIC Monday challenge centers around the prompt "cute" and presented the opportunity to explore an alternate meaning of the word. When I think of a person or an action being referred to as cute, I'm reminded that it's pleasant or engaging. Sometimes, what may seem pleasant may be harmful when analyzing the act as a potential negative effect. I share a flash fiction story along that vein.

My story is below:
Adan slapped his dad.
"At his age, that isn't cute. What we allow at home will embarrass us in public," Ana warned.
"It's harmless."
Ana spied Dan for a long moment. "Teaching respect at his age is crucial."
"Strict isn't good."
"Often it is."

Cuando pienso en una persona o una acción a la que se refiere como linda, me viene a la mente que es agradable o atractiva. A veces, lo que puede parecer agradable puede ser perjudicial cuando se analiza el acto como un posible efecto negativo. Comparto una historia de ficción breve en esa línea.

Falta de habilidades esenciales para la crianza de los hijos
Adán abofeteó a su padre.
