I couldn’t believe he said that about me

Marian was distraught

Keith had been placating her for hours it seemed. He actually thought that she was blowing this out of all proportion.

C’mon, he said. It’s not that bad

You know nothing, Marian said, you don’t know what it is like, I have been teased all my life, when I was at primary school and then at High school and even college. You would think that by the time I am 35 that people would stop.

I’ve never seen you like this, Keith said. What can I do to help

There is nothing you can do Keith, I do appreciate you listening though. I can’t believe he said that to me, I should report him to HR or something. It was totally unnecessary.

With that Marian burst into Tears 'Again',

Keith put his arm around her, gave her a tissue and looked around somewhat nervously.

I think you should go to HR, he said, it does constitute work place harassment and something should be said.

I don’t know, Marian said, in between her sobbing. You would think I would be used to it by now.

They are not that big are they,
Marian got up and looked in the mirror, and she grabbed an ear in each hand and pulled them back

How could he make a comment about my ears like that, I know they are big, but they are not that big.

How dare that tiny little square jawed box of a man say things like that. I will report him in the morning

With That, Marian took a deep breath, stood upright and said, right, all sorted.

Keith gave a secret sigh of relief,
