Poem - Grateful For Everything

I Can Remember The Day I First Saw You
I Couldn't Blink,
Afraid That I Might Miss Something
There Was A Fazed Look On Your Face
Like You Were There But Not Really There.
You Were Beautiful, A Beautiful Secret
Like A Puzzle, I Tried Solving You
Like A Mystery, I Tried Unraveling You
And Yet, Yet I Could Not Fathom.

For All I Knew You Were Perfect
Perfect In Every Sense, In Every Way
With No Scars Bared To Your Soul Untouchable,
With No Fears, None At All.
I Could Not Bring Myself To Love You Then
The Thought Of Laying Down My Heart
To Someone So Unparalleled Was Terrifying
The Idea Of You Was Terrifying.

But Now, Now That I Have Peeked In The Crack That Little Crack In Your Concrete Exterior
I May Not Know You Well Enough
But You're Are Not Flawless,
That Much I Know.
You Have Fears,
You Bare Scars
Still That Doesn't Make You Any Less Heavenly
You're Gorgeous With Those Imperfections And
You're So Much More,
Oh So Much More.

You're Kind, You're Mean
You're Selfish, You're Selfless
You're Everything,
Everything Good And Bad
Just Not Perfect, You're Flawed.
You're Flawed Like I Am Deformed
And I Adore You For All Those Flaws
And I Wanna Thank You
Don't Stress Over For A Reason For My Gratitude
Just Know That I'm Grateful,
Grateful For Everything.
