24 November 2025, @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2931: not quit yet

Timi stared at his screen, refreshing the Ecency app for the tenth time that evening. Always looking at the notification section. Another post, another single upvote but it was not valuable, the reward was next to nothing. No big upvotes, no booming notifications, just silence. He sighed. He had spent hours writing that story, editing it, checking his tags like every guide said, making it as original as he could, the stories were actually non-fiction. Meanwhile, other creators were cashing out, trending, getting whales’ attention. He felt almost invisible. His mother passed by, peeking at him. “Still typing?” “Yes, Ma.” “No money from it yet?” “Not really. “Keep going. You never know which one will open the door.” After she left, Timi looked at his drafts. He had three more posts ready, short stories, jokes, and complex think pieces in which he had spent hours writing. He hovered over the “Publish” button in the only community he had found some visibility(i.e freewriters community) and just at that moment he really thought about quitting. Nobody seemed to notice his effort. Just then, a small notification popped up: “@gojosator commented: Keep posting, bro. You’re improving on your writing.” It wasn’t much, but it was something. Someone was watching. Someone believed in him.Timi cracked his knuckles, smiled to himself, and hit Publish.He wasn’t quitting. Not today. At least for now he will not quit yet, maybe never even.
