The Fate of Grasshoppers| AN ORIGINAL POEM

in Freewriters4 years ago

Up the red hill
To their underground stations
An army of ants
Marched some dead grasshoppers
For a winter banquet
Moments earlier, hovering grasshoppers
Were crunching delicious, live ants
For an evening breakfast.
A little boy while in great awe
Recalled the Preacher's words:
Vanity upon vanity; all is vanity.
