“What song?” she asked.
“That country song about infidelity.”
She squinted at him in silence for a few seconds then said, “Yeah, I'm going to need a little more than that to go on.”
“You know it, the one by that woman, um, something about funeral homes…?” He continued.
She thought for a moment then replied, “Is the song about funeral homes or does her name have something to do with funeral homes?”
“Her name! It was a country song about destroying your man's stuff after you find out he has another woman.”
“...Do you mean, Before He Cheats?”
“Yeah, by that Undertaker chick!”
“...By Carrie Underwood?”
“Close enough. But do you hear it? Babe, you're giving me that look again.”
Yeah, I remember that song. Not the healthiest way to deal with infidelity but it was a hit, once upon a time, back when I still listened to the radio fairly regularly.
